First Time!!

So this is my first time blogging.. I'm kind of nervous about what people might think of me. First my name is Danielle, most people call me Dani, I prefer it, mostly because I never like my name haha. I have a 4 year old daughter Ava that is the love of my life. My life revolves around her, well mostly because I have no one else for it to revolve around LoL. I am single and not too happy about it!!! But more about that later.. and believe me, there will be lots of drama that will probably occur, and I will fill in some of what has happened. Not much drama happened today thankfully.. only some minor irritations.
I woke up about 6am to get my coffee before I had to wake Ava up for school. Her grandmother was picking her up to take her in and said she would be there at 7. I know she runs late most mornings, but today she was super late.. like not showing up till almost quarter of 8. This means Ava and I could have slept almost another hour!! If she would have shown up on time I could have gone back to sleep for atleast another hour and a half before I had to start getting ready for work. I like being on time.. being a little late is ok, but when it gets to be almost an hour I start getting really upset.
I got to work this morning, I'm a server at our local TGI Fridays, and with the economy the way it is we haven't been that busy, but things seem to be picking up. But today was really slow and I was cut around 12:15, and made a wopping $8. My wallet was not happy!! My best friend Jenna and her daughter picked me up and they both had doctors appointments at 2 because they have both been coughing real bad. As I am sitting in the waiting are waiting for them as they saw the Dr. a teenage girl and her mother come in and the daughter I am sure was convinced she had swine flu, so now I am totally paranoid that I am goig to come down with the H1N1 virus.. just what I need LoL. And then this guy came in with his 2 young daughters, one probably about 6, and I am guessing the other was about 3. Well the 6 year old was hell on wheels from the moment I heard the door open. You could tell the dad had had it with her for the day. She started climbing on the wall in the little play area and the dad told her to get off there. Her response was "I knew you were going to tell me that" and of course the dad asks well then why did you did and her little smart mouth said because I wanted to see if you would say yes I could do it. Talk about pushing the envelope LoL. Then she was trying to get her little sister to climb on her back to give her horsey back rides, the little one was reluctant but finally gave in. The older one made it around the waiting room a full time before the dad said something and told her that she was embaressing him. Some days I just don't get parents, this to me seemed like a chid that obviously isn't disciplined for the things she does. I see it all the time where I work. Children in the restaurant screaming, carrying on, running around, throwing food, and all the parents say is "Oh honey, please stop doing that". Are you freaking kidding me!!! If my daughter did that I would have her in that bathroom spanking her. Spare the rod and spoil the child. I don't believe in abuse, but kids need to be disciplined and taught how to act in public. Thats my opinion on that, and I will stop now.
Ava is with her grandparents tonight so I am home relaxing and kind of lonely. I feel so lost when I don't have her here yelling for me every 10 seconds to show me something she has drawn or created. Now when she comes home I'm going to be wishing for the peace and quiet HAHAHA!!! Tomorrow should be a good day. I gave my shift to Greg, and Jenna and I are going to the gym, which not only keeps me in shape, but I can stare at the hot guy that works there... he is just so damn cute, it's a shame he has a girlfriend!! Oh, and the Phillies play game 3 tonight and hopefully they win it! GO PHILS!!!

Single Mom Signing Off,
Dani
